Background: Khoa, Khua, Khoya, or Mawa is a form of dairy, originating from India and used in its neighbouring countries. it's made from either dried milk or milk thickened by heating it in an open iron pan. It's lower water content as compared to typical contemporary cheeses like paneer. Paan is a distinctive Indian sweet created with Betel Nut leaves. Indians chew paan each day and have done so for thousands of years. Used as a post-meal treat, it's also an aphrodisiac and is praised for its health-giving properties. We decided to take this delicious ancient mithai and use plant-based ingredients to deliver a wholesome experience thats a lot healthier than if it had been created with dairy products.

Meethi Kahani was founded in July 2021 by CEO Anuradha Sawhney, Ex Head of PETA India. Noticing that there was a dearth of good quality cruelty-free sweets in the market, Anuradha decided to step in and change that. After many months of trial and error, she and her team were finally satisfied with the range of mithai. And Meethi Kahani was born.
All the mithai are made with the goodness of nuts, seeds, plant-based milks, raw sugar, jaggery, vegan ghee (no we do not use dalda or vanaspati, we make our own ghee using refined coconut oil) and lots of love. Your grandparents can also enjoy this guilt-free indulgence wholeheartedly. There is also a range of entirely sugar-free mithais, sweetened naturally with dates and figs.
